As an extension of Bill's creative output, he founded Uptown Townhouse - a Real Estate
Design and Development Company, whihch specializes in the renovation of
vacant townhouse inventory in Harlem. He applies his extensive experience in designing and building, utilizing a network of vendors and expert resources. He has managed these projects from acquisition of seed money through completion of project to distribution of profits. Uptown Townhouse is also designing and project managing for others, both residential and commercial projects. We have recently redesigned La Bodega 47, a new hot rum bar in Harlem.

Projects have included, 109 W. 118th Street – 4800 sq ft single family residential rebuild from beaming to finish, 737 Saint Nicholas Ave– 4200 sq ft single family residential rebuild from beaming to finish, 136 W, 130th Street – 4200 sq ft single family residential rebuild from beaming to finish, 123 W. 122nd Street – 4400 sq ft three family restoration plus two story addition, 151 W 122nd Street – 4800 sq ft single family – sold along with Good Housekeeping “Green” Project, 212 W. 122nd Street – 3800 sq ft three family residential – project completion, 35 W. 31st Street – 3600 sq. ft loft commercial build out including furnishings.
In completing these projects, Bill's day to day included interacting and providing design collaboration with architects and general contractors, overseeing creation of construction plans, reading construction drawings proficiently, establishing a project folder, development of cost estimates, soliciting and obtaining bids from subcontractors and material suppliers, preparing detailed project construction progress schedules, understand Department of Buildings processes and timelines, ongoing project troubleshooting and creative problem solving, overseeing contractors and subs – construction management, on site rendering to explain construction issues, material sourcing and delivery scheduling, overseeing job close out, punch lists and finishing.
In addition to these project management skills, as a Developer i also have experience with property sourcing and acquisition, banking relationships, investor management, architect, contractor and expeditor selection, budgets and bookkeeping management, financial projections, marketing oversight, distribution of profits.
